Privacy

ui.kadal.cc is a static documentation site for Kadal UI, run by Mithunish Prabhakaran, an individual in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, trading as Kadal ("we"). There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to buy here, so there is very little to say. This page says it anyway, and it will change if the site does.

What we collect: nothing of our own

The site has no accounts, no forms, no comments and no newsletter. It runs no analytics: no page counter, no heatmaps, no advertising or tracking scripts, and no cookies. The fonts are served from this site, not from a fonts service. If we ever add a visitor count, this page will describe it before it is turned on, and the date above will change.

Browser storage

Two preferences are kept in your browser's localStorage so they survive a reload: the theme you chose (theme, and starlight-theme for the docs) and the package manager you picked for install commands (kadal-ui:pm). They never leave your browser, we cannot read them, and clearing site data removes them.

Server logs

The site is served by Cloudflare, Inc., which processes your IP address, browser and the pages you request in order to deliver the site, rate-limit abuse and keep it secure, and keeps those logs for a short period. We do not use them for anything else.

The playground

The playground runs code in your browser with LiveCodes, an open-source editor loaded from livecodes.io. Opening the playground makes your browser fetch LiveCodes from them, as it would an image from another site; what that request shows them (your IP address and browser) is handled under their own policies, not ours. What you type stays in your browser; it is sent nowhere unless you use one of LiveCodes's own share or export features, which say so when you do.

Links to other services

• GitHub: the repository, issues, Discussions and GitHub Sponsors. A sponsorship is a payment to GitHub under GitHub's terms; GitHub handles your card and billing details, and we receive only your GitHub username, your tier and whether you chose to be listed publicly.
• Discord: the Kadal server, under Discord's terms and privacy policy.
• npm: the @kadal/ui package page.

What those services collect once you are there is theirs to describe, not ours.

Email

If you write to us, we keep the conversation for as long as it takes to answer and for a reasonable time after, so we can follow up. Ask and we delete it.

Your rights

We hold no personal data about visitors beyond what is described above, so there is little to see, correct or delete; the rights are yours all the same. If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 gives you them; in the EU or UK, the GDPR does. Email hello@kadal.cc and we will answer within 30 days.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date above changes with it and the change is noted in the changelog.
