Sponsor

Keep it free and maintained

Kadal UI is MIT. There is no paid tier and there won't be one. Sponsorships pay for time: on issues, on the docs, on the next power-user components after the grid, and on the features you ask for.

Other ways to help

  • Star the repository: it is how most people find it.
  • Report a bug with a small reproduction, or answer someone else's issue.
  • Fix or extend a docs page; every page has an edit link.
  • Ship it in your product and tell people; a post or a talk counts.
  • Propose the next component in Discussions, or build it with us. See Contributing.
  • Buy one of Kadal's paid products below: the same hours pay for this.

Questions

About sponsoring

How does paying work?

Through GitHub Sponsors, on the same bill as anything else you pay GitHub for. Sponsorships from a personal account reach us in full; GitHub charges organisations up to 6%, or 3% when they pay by invoice. You can change your tier or stop at any time on GitHub. Until Kadal's GitHub organisation can receive sponsorships, the Sponsors page is the maintainer's account.

Can I sponsor without being listed?

Yes. Choose a private sponsorship on GitHub and we never show your name, avatar or logo anywhere, whatever the tier.

Does sponsoring buy support?

Not as a contract. Gold sponsors get priority on their issues and a monthly call; every other tier is a thank-you. There is no SLA, no promised fix and no private channel. If you need work done to a deadline, write to us and the studio can quote for it.

Is a sponsorship tax-deductible?

No. Kadal is a business in India, not a charity, so a sponsorship is a payment for the perks of its tier rather than a donation.

We use the grid in a product. Do we owe anything?

No. Kadal UI is MIT: use it in commercial products, change it, ship it, with no fee and no attribution beyond the licence notice that is already in the copied files. Sponsoring is a choice, and the surest way to keep the project maintained for the day you need a fix.

Will there ever be a paid tier?

No. Everything in the registry is MIT and stays that way. Sponsorships and Kadal's paid products fund the hours; the code never gains features only sponsors can use.

Something else? hello@kadal.cc

Sponsorships are one of the two things that pay for Kadal UI. The other is Kadal's paid products: Kadal Deck (the AI presentation app) and Kadal Store (printable planners, sounds and design assets). Buying either funds the same hours.
